Goa Government yesterday has announced a 10 days night curfew which starts from 10pm to 6am till April 30.

Government have to take decision after a hike in the surge of novel coronavirus, as many cases have imposed night curfews and many have imposed lockdown. Goa Govt also imposed curbs on restaurants, cinemas and casinos. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in a press conference said;

Protocals of Night Curfew in Goa

  • Casinos, bars, water parks, entertainment parks, restaurants, river cruises, cinema theatres, gyms, and parlors will operate only half of its capacity.
  • Wedding functions cannot have more than 50 guests and only up to 20 people can attend funerals.
  • Temples, mosques, and churches have been barred from organizing mass gatherings but they can continue performing rituals with limited people.
  • Petrol pumps, pharmacies, and other essential services will remain open during the night curfew.
  • During the night curfew, only commercial vehicles transporting essential goods would be allowed to move.
  • There is no restriction on industries and other economic activities.
Sawant said Goa Government will monitor the situation and take a call on the extension of night curfew and public will not be allowed to be on the road during the curfew.
