In contraction with media on Friday (April 09) it is announced by Railway Board Chairman Suneet Sharma that travellers do not need a RT-PCR negative report to travel by trains.

Railway have advised all the passengers to follow the latest protocals issued by the Government after the sudden hike in covid-19 cases throughout the country.

Officials of Indian Railways also declared that till that time Railways is not in a mood to stop the services as like last year during Lockdown and also said that railways will be available for the people who wants to travel.


Chairman said, "There is no plan to curtail or stop train services. We will run as many services as required. There is no cause for alarm. We can run trains immediately on demand if there is any rush. This rush is normal during the summer season and we have already announced trains to clear the rush"

As after hike in the cases fo Covid-19 in the month od March, all states have imposed restrictions like night curfew, weekend lockdown and inter state travel restrictions. After these all, booking of railways also inceases simultaneously.
