As the cases in Delhi do not comes to down counts, on Saturday approx 17,364 cases recorded in Delhi itself, Cheif Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced the one week lockdown extention till May 17, 2021 to curb the effect of coronavirus transmission.

In the wake to reduces the cases Kejriwal announced that the metro sevices will remain suspended in this period.

Kejriwal Govt announced the first lockdown on April 19, then later extended that to May 3 and later May 10 because the Delhi Govt have faced the lack of medicals supply and materials of hospitals.

Delhi recorded 332 Covid-19 toll and 17,364 new cases on Saturday. The positivity rate remained below 25 percent for the third consecutive day, said by the state health department.

The infection counts lead to 13,10,231, out of which over 12.03 lakh people have been recovered from the pendamic.
