As the surge of covid-19 increases with a worst face in Maharashtra and short of hospitals and beds for patients. Mumbai Officials has decided to changes to Jain Temple into Covid-19 vaccination centre loaded with full facilities.

Situated at JB Nagar area in Andheri East (Mumbai), the Jain temple turned Covid-19 vaccination centre has been outfitted with refrigerators to store vials, rooms for doctors to rest and CCTV cameras for basic safety of the whole administration.

As per news, the temple has been listed as Tarunbharat Jain Mandir on the official vaccination registration portal, CoWIN. The vaccination drive at the temple is reportedly being conducted by the Seven Hills Hospital.

This gentle move has found a well appreciation on social media. However, Mumbai’s JB Nagar Jain mandir is not the only religious shrine to take such a unique initiative.

Temples located at Baroda and Ahmedabad, Gurudwaras in some Indian cities as well as churches in Mumbai have also been carrying out vaccination drives for specific period of time.
