Indian Railways has requested to all its passengers to check the latest Covid-19 guidelines issued by different state governments before their travelling date.

Railways has said to all their passengers to check the Covid-19 guidelines before travelling as many of the states have make several guidelines for travellers arriving to their states. 

Railways issued this notification as to make the journey of the travellers more convienent and effective.

Starting from last week the West Bengal govt has announced that starting from May 07 all passengers arriving to West Bengal will require to show a negative coronavirus RT-PCR test report not older than 72 hours before departure. The new rule will apply to all those who are traveling to the state by air, trains, and buses.

The ministry had stated that some of these special trains were running with low occupancy. Therefore, some of the special train services are being discontinued till further advice due to low occupancy as well as other operational reasons. Some Indian Railways’ zones like Eastern Railways, Northern Railways have already announced the cancellation of several special trains.
