The Uttar Pradesh Govt announced the lockdown from April 29, later on it extended till May 10, and then after officials extends it till May 31, 2021.
Allahabad High Court suggested the state government to put the strict lockdown as after seeing the hike in cases of coronavirus cases across the state.
Uttar Pradesh on Friday reported 7,682 new infections, taking the state’s infection count to 16,59,212. As many as 172 more people died with the coronavirus in this period. The death toll in UP is 18,760 till now.
Total active cases in the UP counts to 1,06,276. Govt Officials said around 1,05,000 people recovered from the coronavirus in last one week.
