Phuket is set to reopen its border to vaccinated tourists from July, and the best part is a tourism group in Thailand is offering hotel rooms at just INR 75 only.

The campaign, known as One-Night, One-Dollar, is proposed by the Tourism Council of Thailand. Under this plan, some hotel rooms will be provided for only INR 75 per night.

These rooms are generally available between 1000 to 3000 baht per night approximately INR 2500 to INR 7000. According to sources, if the program proves to be successful, it could be expanded to other popular tourist destinations like Koh Samui and Bangkok of Thailand.

TAT governor, Yuthasak Supasorn, said, "Phuket will be the pilot destination to reopen in the third quarter to fully vaccinated foreign visitors from low-risk countries under strict rules and regulations."

TCT President Chaman Srisawat said Thailand has been suffering from the pandemic for the past 15 months and so far, only mass tourism can save them.
