The process of Air Bubble arrangement between India and Saudi Arabia is about to be finalised. The Indian government is in discussion with the Saudi Arabian government on the arrangement of the air bubble.

Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said in a written reply to a question on the issue that the government has discussed with Saudi Arabia to finalize the air bubble arrangement.

With this, people of both the countries will be able to travel without any hassle during this time. He also informed that due to suspension of travel of Indian travellers to Saudi Arabia due to rising cases of new Delta variant could not be finalized.

Muraleedharan further said as soon as the situation improves, the issue will be taken up with the Saudi Arabian government. According to reports, more than 7.16 lakh Indian workers have returned to India from Arabia so far during the pandemic.

As of now, India has air bubble arrangements with 28 countries across the world. From Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India has made travel arrangements under the all-India-Saudi Arabia air bubble arrangement under discussion.
