For Punjab you have to either get fully vaccinated or the RT-PCR test report should be negative. According to the latest news reports, the Punjab state government recently announced this, and said that only those people who comply with the above requirements will be allowed to enter the state.

The recent directions were issued after Chief Minister Amarinder Singh held a review meeting, where he said people coming from Jammu and Himachal Pradesh would be closely monitored.

According to an official statement, Singh expressed his concern about the positivity rate in Himachal Pradesh and other parts of the country, which has marginally increased Punjab's positivity rate to 0.2 per cent last week.

Cases are likely to double in the next 64 days, which is why Singh warned people to be vigilant, and announced new restrictions in addition to the ones already in place.

Reportedly, the latest rules will be applicable to those entering Punjab by road, air or rail. The Chief Minister also said that if someone fails to meet the above criteria, they will have to undergo Rapid Antigen Test, unless they have recently recovered from covid-19.

Chief Minister directed the health department to conduct priority sentinel tests for passengers in private and government hospitals, entry points, industries and colonies, government offices, etc. He said that based on this, the districts should make a strategy for the micro-containment zone.
