The UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority last week announced revised guidelines for travelers who wish to travel to the UAE.

New guideline starts from 15 August 2021.

Documents Required For UAE Travel

1. For UAE residence visa holders issued from Dubai and traveling to Dubai: "Return Permit for Resident outside the UAE form" issued to travelers from the Directorate General of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA): ReturnPermitServiceForm (gdrfad.gov.ae)

2. For UAE resident visa holders traveling to UAE other than Dubai: "Return Permit for Resident outside UAE form" which is issued to travelers from the ICA link below: ICA Smart Services.

3. Expo 2020 visa holders allowed to travel to UAE without GDRFA/ICA.

4. Registering a vaccination certificate is optional for travelers who wish to enjoy the benefits provided to vaccine recipients in the UAE.

Travel Requirements for All Travellers to Travel to the United Arab Emirates

1. A valid negative Covid-19 test certificate with the QR code attached to the original report. It has to be issued within a valid time frame, i.e. 48 hours from the time of sample collection to the scheduled departure time, and has to be taken from a laboratory approved by ICMR.

2. A rapid PCR test report based on a molecular diagnostic test aimed at qualitative detection of nucleic acids for SARS-CoV-2 viral RNA; Departure is conducted at the airport no earlier than 4 hours after departure.


Additional requirements for passengers arriving at Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Ras Al-Khaimah airports (RKT)

1. 10 days home quarantine upon arrival at RKT and 12 days home quarantine at AUH. PCR test on 4th and 8th day after coming to RKT and PCR test on 6th and 11th day after coming to AUH.

2. Follow up on wearing a tracking watch on arrival.

3. Passengers are advised to report 6 hours before departure as Rapid PCR test counters at airports will close 2 hours before departure.
