Directorate General of Civil Aviation India in a circular on Tuesday extended the suspension of scheduled international flights to/from India till October 31, 2021.

The DGCA further stated in the circular that the restrictions would not apply to international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA (Vande Bharat Mission and Air Bubbles).


DGCA said in statement, "In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of the circular issued on the subject cited above regarding Scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hrs IST of 31st Oct 2021. This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA."

The circular further states that international scheduled flights may be permitted on selected routes on a case to case basis by the competent authority.
