India on Friday enforced reciprocal action on UK nationals arriving in India and making mandatory 10-day quarantine, a negative RT-PCR test, irrespective of vaccine status.

These new rules will come into effect from 4 October and will apply to all UK nationals entering the country.

This new restriction comes after the UK revised its international travel guidelines and made it mandatory for travelers from India to quarantine and test negative COVID-19.

Updated Guidelines For Travellers From UK

  1. Pre-departure COVID-19 RT-PRC test within 72 hours prior to travel.
  2. COVID-19 RT-PCR test on arrival at airport.
  3. 8 days after the arrival of Kovid-19 RT-PCR test.
  4. Compulsory quarantine at home or at destination address for 10 days after arrival in India.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Civil Aviation will take steps to implement the new measures.
