Again Europe comes in a fear with a new outbreak of the COVID 19 virus, the Netherlands goes into lockdown

Many EU countries are reporting an increase in the number of cases, and this is certainly a worrying trend. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Root, said restrictions that were thought to have ended for good are now being reimposed.

Restrictions are being imposed again in the Netherlands for a period of three weeks. On Saturday, the Dutch government called for restaurants and shops to close early, marking the start of this new lockdown.

The Netherlands has further asked supermarkets and all non-essential retailers to close earlier, while social distancing is reimposed. The government of the Netherlands has further announced that spectators are not allowed to watch the sporting event during this time.

In the wake to breakdown the chain of coronavirus, Government has announced that homes will have no more than four visitors, effective immediately. While cafes and nightclubs will close at 8 pm.

Other countries such as Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic are also looking at new restrictions, or have already started implementing them from today. With the Christmas holiday approaching, these lockdowns and restrictions become unpopular during this time of year.
