DGCA has recently made a big announcement in which it has been told that regular international flights will remain closed till further orders. The reason behind this expension of flight suspension is the ongoing coronavirus as some countries still have a very high rate of covid-19 infection.

Let us tell you that in view of the corona virus epidemic, regular international flights in India are closed since 23 March 2020, while India has operated some special flights under Vande Bharat Mission and under air bubble arrangement

The DGCA in a Circular said, "In partial modification of circular dated 26.11.2021, the competent authority has decided to extend the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India till further orders. This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA"

The previous ban which was in place on international flights has ended on 28 February 2022, DGCA has announced that the scheduled international side will remain closed for a few more days.

Last days there was a lot of news in India that regular international sites would start from March 2022, but DGCA has today confirmed that the lights will remain off for the time being.

In the past, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Director General of Civil Aviation, in which there was talk of opening regular international flights soon.

At present the confirmation of opening of regular international flights is not complete, but it is possible that if the covid cases declines, then regular international flights should be opened soon.
