Thai Smile, a Thailand-based regional airline started its direct flight operations between India and Thailand earlier this month to revive the tourism of Thaialnd which is badly hitted by the coronavirus pendamic.

Presently, the airline is operating five flights a week every Mon, Tue, Thu, Sat and Sun between the India and Thailand.

Thai Smile is operating WE5317 which departs from Bangkok at 18:55 and arrives at Mumbai Airport at 22:00, the same flight will depart Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 23:20 and return at 05:05 But will arrive at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Travelers must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days to travel to Thailand prior to the date of travel. Further, upon arrival in Bangkok, Thailand such tourists and visitors will have to undergo RT-PCR test and check-in at one of the listed hotels till the report arrives.

Thai tourism authorities have advised travel agents that reports will be available within 24 hours, requiring a one-day hotel stay in Bangkok before they check-in at other hotels in other cities and choice of seaside resorts.

Thai Smile has also started flights between Kolkata and Bangkok from January 1. The airline initially operates a late night schedule three days a week, arriving in the city on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and departing after midnight on Wednesdays, Fridays. and Sunday.
