Vice President's spokesman Cristian Ablan said foreign nationals can enter the Philippines without the need for an Entry Exemption Document (EED), provided they comply with applicable visa requirements, immigration entry and departure formalities.

Ablan said citizens should be fully vaccinated, except for children under the age of 12 who are traveling with their fully vaccinated foreign parents

Alban furthed added that foreign nationals entering the country must submit a negative RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours, acceptable proof of vaccination or a negative laboratory-based antigen test taken within 24 hours from departure from the country of origin. taken within.

Once visitors enter the country, they are not required to undergo facility-based quarantine but will need to self-monitor themselves for any signs or symptoms for seven days from arrival. Reports said that with the new policy the country will open up to all travelers, including tourists.

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the ease of entry of foreign tourists into the country to promote international tourism and increase foreign investment.
