After seeing the increment in cases of Covid-19 the Government of Assam has made a negative Covid-19 report mandatory for all travellers coming by air from Mumbai and Bengaluru.

This protocal will be imposed in Assam by April 09, 2021.

ANI News agency in his tweet said "All air travelers from Mumbai and Bengaluru arriving at any airport in Assam need to carry a negative RT-PCR report of test conducted within 72 hours of arrival, with effect from 9th April"

Assam Government has fixed the maximum costing of RT-PCR test at Laboratory to Rs 500 and Rs 700 for RT-PCR samples collected from home. Rapid antigen test pricing is Rs 250.


Inspite of Assam many of the Indian states like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal imposed same protocals and required negative RT-PCR report from inter-state passengers travelleing by any mean of transportation from one state to another.
