Delhi Government have filed FIR against 4 airlines as they have not checking the negative RT-PCR report from the passengers arriving from Maharashta to Delhi.

In orders the action have been taken against SpiceJet, Indigo, Vistara and Air Asia for not following the protocals issued by the Government against the Coronavirus.

The proceedings will be held under the Disaster Management Act (DDMA), 2005 on the above airlines as per FIR.

The Disaster Management Act has issued guidelines for people traveling by flights from Maharashtra to have a negative RT-PCR report of a test done not more than 72 hours till arrival. As per DDMA rules, those who do not have Covid-19 negative report would have to quarantine themselves for 14 days in the Govt established institutions.

  • Airlines did not check each passenger arriving from Maharashtra to Delhi for a negative RT-PCR report.
  • Lastly, FIR was filed against 2 Private Hospitals for misinformation on beds.
  • FIR was lodged under DDMA act 2005.
This is very disappointed activity of the airlines as the cases in India is increasing rapidly to the worst-hit, said by Ministry Officials of Delhi.
