As after fully prepaired against covid-19, Phuket is reopening for fully vaccinated travellers, Meanwhile Indian visitors will not be allowed to visit Phuket yet.

Yuthasak Supasorn, Tourism Authority of Thailand's Governor said, "We are delighted with the announcement of Phuket's opening as it will ensure the start of travel to our amazing country. Thailand is taking utmost precautions and strictly following SOPs to ensure the safety of tourists. However, in the best interest of all, Thailand will open up in a phased manner for different countries. Given the situation in India is improving, we sincerely hope India will be on the consideration list soon. Therefore we request you to please await further announcement in this regard. Thailand is anxiously looking forward to welcoming Indian visitors soon"

Reports says, the Center for Economic Situation Administration chaired by Thailand’s Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha gave approval to a plan that was submitted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to reopen Phuket Province to international visitors who have completed the process of vaccination against covid-19, and who have found negative in covid-19 test while arriving Phuket.


Guidelines says, overseas visitors who visit Phuket for at least 7 nights before travelling elsewhere will not be undergoes to quarantine. 

Reportedly, the term will come into effect from July 1, 2021 onwards, with aimed at boosting the revival of the country's tourism industry, which will pave the way for the resume of other tourist destinations in Thailand.
