Leading Low-Cost Carrier SpiceJet has announced that it will starts a vaccination for all staff starting from May 17, 2021.

The process of vaccination will performed at Delhi and Gurugram, which covers complete staff of SpiceJet working at all stations. The total counts of staff in SpiceJet is around 15000.

Primarily, the frontliner staff of the airline including airport staff and in-flight crews will be vaccinated. The vaccination process will be done under the rules and guidelines of the Government and also on the basis of availability of vaccine. After that airline will also make efforts to facilitate vaccination to the family of staff.

Chairman and Managing Dirrecor of SpiceJet, Ajay Singh said, "At SpiceJet, the health and safety of our passengers and employees is our topmost priority. Vaccination is a key step towards fighting the COVID-19 pandemic and it's important that essential workers like airline employees are vaccinated on priority"

"We have drawn up a detailed schedule for this company-sponsored initiative which would be undertaken as per government rules and guidelines" Ajay Singh added to his statement.
