United Arab Emirates and Maldives are in a process of making a travel bubble agreement in that the vaccinated travellers are allow to move freely between two countries.

As per Aminath Shabeena, Maldives ambassador to the UAE, who pass the information during a press conference at Arabian Travel Market located in Dubai.

Till now the date of commencement of flights is not confirmed but Aminath Shabeena has informed that both countries are planning to open this soon and also indicated that it will finalised till first week of June.

Shabeena stated that the plan is to allow those travellers who have completed the full process of vaccinated through any WHO-approved vaccine and in that there is no need to show the RT-PCR test result.

While in conference, Thoyyib Mohamed, Managing Director of the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation, also provided further details on a '3V' funda, which will enable tourists to Visit, Vaccinate and Vacation in the Indian Ocean archipelago.
