After a long battle with the second wave of coronavirus infections in the India, the number of cases has started to downfall. In view of this, many people have started planning their travel within the country.

So, if you are planning to travel, check out the latest COVID related travel guidelines, restrictions and more details. India has recorded 62,224 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases in India to 2,96,33,105.

Assam

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority has issued a new set of covid-19 lockdown guidelines which have come into effect from 5 AM on 16th June and will continue till 5 AM on 22nd June 2021. The state has been divided into three categories on the basis of reforms in the order of covid situation.

As per reports, the curfew period has been relaxed by 1 hour in Kamrup Metropolitan, which mainly comprises Guwahati city. It will start at 2 pm and will continue till 5 am the next day.

South Salmara, Majuli, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Udalguri, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Charaideo districts, where corona virus positive cases are less than 400 in the last 10 days, have eased restrictions like lockdown and movement of persons will take place at 5 am. Permission should be given from 5 am to 5pm.

Speecially, the districts where the cumulative total number of cases and cases per day are still showing consistently high numbers, especially Cachar, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sonitpur and Nagaon, will be closely monitored till June 21, 2021. All other districts will continue under the existing restrictions, such as curfew from 1 pm to 5 am and closure of all shops as well as commercial establishments at 12 noon.

Bihar

As the covid-19 cases are declining in the state, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday announced further relaxation in the restrictions imposed by covid-19 in the state starting from June 16, 2021. 

As part of the gradual unlock process in the state, government and private offices have been allowed to function at full strength till 5 pm, while shops will be allowed to remain open till 6 pm. However the night curfew will be effective from 8 pm to 5 am.

Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced some covid-19 related restrictions starting from Tuesday. The state has now allowed restaurants and other food joints as well as cinemas and gyms to reopen at 50 per cent capacity. The Chief Minister has also announced to decrease the crowd, including weddings and cremations to 50 persons only.

Rajasthan

Latest news that now shopping malls, restaurants, gyms and sports complexes that were closed amid the covid induced lockdown in Rajasthan have now opened for some restricted hours. 

The state government has also allowed opening of monuments, art and cultural venues and hotels providing in-house services in view of the downfall number of coronavirus cases.

West Bengal

West Bengal government had announced that it will prevent covid-19, including the opening of restaurants and bars even those located inside shopping complexes with 50 percent seating capacity between 12 noon and 8 pm. 

There will be some relaxation in related restrictions. The administration allowed government and private offices to function with 25 percent workforce from June 16, 2021.
