Switzerland announced that it has relaxed travel restrictions for Indians who have been completed the process of vaccination against covid-19.

This includes people who have been vaccinated or cured and do not have to test negative Covid-19 even when travelling from countries where the delta variant is widespread, such as India, and do not have to be quarantined upon entry.

Switzerland has become the very first country to open its doors to fully vaccinated visitors after the second wave of covid-19 in India.

it is to be noted that India and Switzerland have not yet formed an air bubble due to which direct flights are not available, which means that passengers have to pass through Paris or Amsterdam to reach Switzerland.

The Embassy of Switzerland in India informed that the Embassy and Consulate General of Switzerland in India has started accepting all visa categories from 28 June 2021 for applicants who have complete the process of vaccination.

Prior appointment booking is mandatory for all types of applications.

Applicants will have to check with the airlines if the PCR test report is required to board the plane.
