Central Railway will run 72 special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Panvel, Sawantwadi Road and Ratnagiri for convenent journey of passengers ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Maharashtra.

According to the Central Railway, these 72 special trains will consist of one AC-2 tier cum AC-3 tier, four AC-3 tier, 11 sleeper class and six second class seating.

Reports says, the bookings for these special trains will start from July 8, 2021 with a special charge. Tickets can be booked on the website of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) as well as at all Passenger Railway System (PRS) centres.

CSMT-Sawantwadi Road Daily Special will make 36 such trips. 01227 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 12.20 hrs everyday from 5th September to 22nd September 2021 and will arrive Sawantwadi Road at 2 pm on the same day. 

01228 Special Train will leave Sawantwadi Road at 2:40 pm daily from 5th September to 22nd September 2021 and will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 4.35 am the next day.

01229 Bi-Weekly Special Train will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 1.10 pm on every Monday and Friday, and will reach Ratnagiri at 10.35 pm on the same day from 9th September, 2021.

01230 Bi-Weekly Special Train will leave Ratnagiri on every Sunday. and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.30 pm on Thursday and 8.20 am the next day.
