Goa government announced the extension of the coronavirus lockdown till August 30, 2021.

Previosly, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant extended the curfew in the state for eight days till August 23. But on Sunday again the lockdown was extended for a week.

Those wishing to travel to Goa will have to keep their negative RT-PCR certificate not more than 72 hours old. RT-PCR is mandatory for those coming from Kerala. Also, travellers are required to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before entering the state.

Allowed Activities Of Goa

1. Hotels and public transport will remain operational but will have to comply with COVID rules and regulations.

2. All religious centers in the state will remain open and only 15 people will be allowed to visit at a time.

3. Bars and restaurants are allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity between 7 am and 11 pm, while indoor gyms will also be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity.

Restricted Activities Of Goa

1. Travelers will not be able to enjoy river cruises, water parks, spas and massage parlors.

2. Casinos, auditoriums and community halls will remain closed in Goa.

3. Cinema halls will remain open at 50 percent seating capacity.

Curfew was imposed in Goa for the first time on May 9 after the country was hit by the deadly second wave of coronavirus. Since then the curfew has been extended many times.
