Etihad Airways said on its websites on Wednesday that starting August 27, all passengers will have to register on the ICA platform five days before their flight to Abu Dhabi.

Official statement comes from Etihad Airways that, "If you’re flying on or before 27 August, please register as soon as you can before your flight. Some exemptions apply,"

Travellers can only travel to Abu Dhabi if they are citizens or residents of the United Arab Emirates. Also if they are eligible for visa on arrival or hold travel visa to Abu Dhabi. For tourists, a visa must be issued in Abu Dhabi.

Procedure For Registration On ICA

1. Register through ICA Smart Travel Service five days before your flight to Abu Dhabi.

2. To register, passengers need to enter details like their name, expected arrival date, port of arrival, country of departure, passport details, date of vaccination dose, etc.

3. Download the UAE Al Hosn App- you will need it when you arrive.

4. Travellers will be able to enter public places in Abu Dhabi only if they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have a green status in the Al Hosn app.
