UAE Officials issued new guidelines and said that all travellers coming to Abu Dhabi from India will have to spend 12 days in home quarantine and all other travel guidelines will have to be compulsorily followed.

UAE's flagship carrier Etihad Airways said on its website that Indians arriving in Abu Dhabi will be required to quarantine for 12 days and wear a medically approved wristband for the quarantine period.

It should be noted that the airport authority in Abu Dhabi will provide wristbands after the passengers have cleared the immigration.

Meanwhile, all passengers are required to undergo a PCR test on arrival in UAE and another PCR test will be done on day six and eleven.

All arriving travellers are advised to undergo rapid PCR test within 4 hours of boarding at Indian airports.

Any test taken outside the airport facility will not be accepted. United Arab Emirates authorities have issued a list of requirements for the travellers.

Holders of lawful residence who received full vaccination in the UAE and 14 days have elapsed since receiving the second dose and carry a vaccination certificate approved by the official authorities in the country will be allowed to enter from those countries.

All these categories require submission of a request on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in order to obtain the necessary approvals. Vaccination certificate approved by the authorities in the country should be attached.
