Andaman has closed its tourism activities at all tourist places and imposed several restrictions with effect from today, 11 January 2022.

According to the notification issued by the officials, all the tourist places in South Andaman district have been closed for tourism activities with immediate effect.

Apart from this, all social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural, religious, festivals and other gatherings/gatherings will be banned.

In addition to the above restrictions, travelers who wish to travel to Andaman and Nicobar Islands will have to follow the below mentioned guidelines for entry;

Guidelines for travelers going to Andaman

1. All incoming passengers will compulsorily carry the RT-PCR negative test report issued from an ICMR approved laboratory, subject to the condition that the RT-PCR test should have been taken within 48 hours. The RT-PCR timeline starts from the time of swab collection.

2. In addition to the above, all incoming travellers who have a history of foreign travel in the last 30 days, all non-vaccinated and partially vaccinated, will also have to undergo RT-PCR test on arrival and self-test till the results are received. will have to be separated.

Quarantine Rules for travelers going to Andaman

1. All passengers will have to compulsorily undergo home or institutional quarantine till the result of the test on arrival is released.

2. If any passenger tests positive then he/she will be sent for institutional quarantine for further treatment.
