South Africa recently expressed that it is looking at 64% year-on-year growth in arrivals from India this year. To capitalize on the strong consumer demand in the country, they have started e-visa facility for indian travellers.

South Africa said in a statement that India continues to be one of their top focus markets, for which they have outlined a strategic road map targeting the respective outcomes.

South Africa to soon introduce e-Visa for Indians to attract more tourists, filmmakers and business travelers.

South African Tourism Hub Head (MEISEA) said, "We are glad to announce that we are on track to roll out e-visas in India in the coming months."

The destination is also processing tourist visas on priority. The Board informed that India serves as the eighth largest international source market for South Africa, and expects India to maintain its position in the top 10 this year as well.

Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Pune remain the top Indian source markets for South Africa. As of now, several stop-over flights fly from India to South Africa, including Etihad, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Air Arabia, Kenya Airways and Air Mauritius.
