Thailand on Wednesday had approved the lifting of the pre-travel testing requirement for international arrivals with effect from 1 April 2022, as the state has downfall in the COVID-19 pandemic to an endemic disease.

International arrivals under any of the current three entry schemes – Test and GO, Sandbox, and Optional Quarantine are allowed to enter Thailand without needing to show proof of a negative RT-PCR test within 72 hours of travel will be given.

How to Enter Thaland

  1. The number of approved airports increased from 7 to 8 – Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, Phuket, Krabi, Samui, Chiang Mai, Yu-Tapao and Hat Yai (New).
  2. Land border outposts increased from 3 to 4 – Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Songkhla and Satun (New)
  3. Water points of entry from ports and ferries increased in 2 to 3 provinces - Phuket, Chon Bari, and Surat Thani (Naya).
Two tests exist for TEST & GO and sandbox passengers: an RT-PCR test on arrival (Day 0) and an antigen self-test on Day 5.
