United Arab Emirates has stopped issuing 90-day (3-month) visit visas to international travelers. However, travel agents have confirmed that a stay of 90 days can still be granted under specific circumstances.

UAE Stops Issuing 90-Day Visit Visa

Currently only 30 and 60 day visit visas are being issued across the country.

These visas can be obtained for prices between Dh400 and Dh450, and visitors have the option of extending their stay for an additional month at a cost of around Dh900. After this extension, passengers will have to leave the country either by air or by land.

Another travel company confirmed the update, adding that visit visas for the general public are currently limited to 30 and 60 days and this is the case for all their customers.

The change is part of a series of amendments made to UAE visa procedures following a comprehensive reform, known as the Advanced Visa System, which came into effect in October last year.

The system, introduced by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), represents one of the most significant changes to residence and entry permit regulations in the UAE.
