Delhi airport has been adjudged as one of the best airports as well as the cleanest airport in the Asia Pacific region by international group ACI. ACI (Airports Council International) is a non-profit association of airport operators.

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) is a GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited consortium.

Disclosing this news, DIAL said that the ASQ (Airport Service Quality) program is the world's leading airport customer experience measurement and benchmarking programme, and this recognition is based on live research through surveys collected at airport - Directly from the passenger - Rating their satisfaction on the day of travel.

The airport won the best airport award in the category of 40 million plus passengers per annum (MPPA) by ASQ and 2022. Also, it has been named as the cleanest airport in the Asia Pacific region.

Tiruchirappalli International Airport has also been rated the best in the Asia Pacific region in the category of less than 2 million passengers by ACI, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said.

The survey examined more than 30 performance indicators of a traveler's airport experience, including ease of check-in, finding their way, shopping and dining options.

Reportedly, in 2022, a total of 75 airports will win around 144 awards globally based on over 465,000 surveys collected, with Delhi airport winning the cleanest airport category, though no other Indian The airport did not make it to the list of winners.
