Covering a distance of over 1400 km in just three hours? Well, China has made this possible by introducing the world's fastest Maglev train with a top speed of 600 km/h ! On Tuesday, the country unveiled the world's fastest train.

Details of  Train

1. According to Chinese media, the train has been self-developed by China in the coastal city of Qingdao in Shandong province. At a speed of 600 km/h, that train can cover a distance of 1000 km from Beijing to Shanghai in just 2.5 hours! Currently, the journey takes 5.5 hours by train at the current speed and 3 hours by flight.

2. Maglev trains, like regular trains, do not use wheels or conventional tracks, but are driven by magnetic levitation with an electromagnet. This keeps the train slightly above the track.

3. These trains are more efficient than normal trains as they do not depend on friction for braking or accelerating.

4. Also these trains are absolutely expensive. As of now, only countries such as France, Japan, Spain, South Korea and China use such transport systems.

5. As of now, Shanghai has a short maglev line running between the airport and the city.

6. According to Chinese media, these trains will help fill the gap between China's current high-speed trains that run at 350 km/h and airplanes that run at 800 km/h.

7. The train also has Wi-Fi and wireless charging facilities.
