Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) of India has issued updated guidelines for domestic and international passengers traveling to Delhi in view of the increasing cases of Omicron virus starting from December 24, 2021.

According to the updated guidelines, thermal screening of all passengers will be done on arrival. Random sample collection will be done for the travelers coming from the states which have seen a spurt in Omicron cases. People will be allowed to step out only after collecting the samples.

 Ministry further added that, "If you are travelling on a connecting flight and not leaving the airport in transit station then please refer to the detailed guidelines of the respective final destination arrival state,"

Passengers who test positive for the virus will be home quarantined for 10 days at COVID Care Centres/Community Health Centres/Hospitals.
