Thailand has scrapped the Test and Go program and eased travel rules for vaccinated travelers from 1 May, with new rules requiring fully vaccinated travelers no longer to take a PCR test upon arrival in Thailand , nor do they need to make an overnight stay in SHA approved hotel.

Vaccinated individuals are still required to verify their vaccination status and insurance coverage by registering on the Thailand Pass.

As the reports surfaced, several travelers attempted to register for a 'Thailand Pass' for trial-free entry under the new programme, but were unable to do so as the 'Date of Arrival' field required them to enter a date. does not allow later than in April.

Since the embassy had received a lot of messages from travelers as to why they cannot register for the 'Thailand Pass'.

This is because Thailand has not yet opened registration under the 'test-free' admission program and it will be opened on 29 April. Thailand Pass official website revealed that those seeking admission under simplified rules starting from May 1, 2022 will be able to apply for their Thailand Pass from April 29, 2022.

Under the new entry measures, registration on the Thailand Pass will be opened from 29 April 2022 (00.01 pm Thailand time) for travelers entering Thailand from 1 May 2022.

Another positive is that the lengthy Thailand Pass form, which currently requires personal information, vaccination doses, hotel bookings, test bookings and insurance, will be simplified for travelers entering from May 1, 2022.
