Singapore has reintroduced free city tours for transit and transfer passengers, which account for about 30% of passenger traffic.

Changi Airport Group (CAG), Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB) recently resumed free travel after a gap of two years due to COVID-19.

Pre-existing tours such as the City Sites Tour, Jewel Tour, and Heritage Tour have been refreshed to include new points of interest. A new Changi Precinct Tour will be launched for passengers, taking them to the breathtaking sights and sounds of the eastern precinct surrounding Singapore Changi Airport. Each tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours, and will be available daily.

Advance booking is now available on the Changi Airport website. All transfer and transit passengers who have a layover period of at least 5.5 hours but less than 24 hours will be able to join the free Singapore tour. Travelers will need a valid entry visa for Singapore to participate in the tours.

Commenting on the development, Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President of Air Hub & Cargo Development at CAG, said they are happy to have it back as travel resumes, and it will also attract travelers to explore more of the airport
